assistance The CRA portfolios currently comprise Environment, Membership, Community Affairs, Safety and Security, Town planning and development, Traffic, Communications and PR, Civic Affairs and the statutory positions of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. While your first port of call may well be the City's Help Line (011 375-5555), the CRA executive members can assist you if action isn't taken, or advise you of who best to contact or follow up on your behalf. Affairs Responsibilities include developing and overseeing special functions for residents (street parties, community braais, etc), promotions, welcoming new residents, , coordination of regional reps and street wardens, and distribution of the CRA's quarterly information sheet, the Crier, and special notices – anything to do with fostering neighbourly relations! Kirsty Falkenberg is your contact. 4.
Security Anti-crime projects (the new Public Spaces security scheme is high on the agenda); liaison with Parkview Police, the CPF, security companies and Business against Crime; road closures. In addition, if you have been a victim of crime, the CRA in conjunction with the Parkview CPF is there to provide you with support. Your contacts are Richard King, Philip Bond, Eric Glover. Street lights are important in the fight against crime - if you notice street lights out of order, contact the City's help line (011 375-5555). If repairs are not done promptly, contact Peter Heritage or Ward Councillor Ian Ollis - ianollis@lantic.net. The CRA also
supports the Community Safety Forum (CSF) which is chaired by
