Your Craighall Park Physiotherapist with a special interest in spinal conditions

JMPhysio started in Dunkeld West in 2013 and are now conveniently located in the Valley Centre on Jan Smuts Avenue. The practice offers physiotherapy treatments for a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions and their rates are accepted by most major medical schemes.

The practice focuses on addressing the underlying causes of various Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal conditions – especially those that appear without reason. JMPhysio share information and self-management tips on various conditions via email each month. Anyone interested in receiving these can get in touch via email. You can also follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

JMPhysio aims to empower patients to have the capacity to manage their own bodies and the struggles they face from time to time, and they only get involved for future appointments when patients’ self-management hasn’t lived up to the task.

Education during treatment sessions enables patients to remain independent and to gain a better understanding of their condition(s) and the management thereof.

Online therapy may be your preferred treatment medium, especially if you’re a high-risk individual during the COVID-19 pandemic. Scepticism is completely normal, and this video may answer some of the questions you might have:

The Therapists

Jeanne and Katherine share an interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of painful conditions and injuries while they also have their individual areas of expertise.

Jeanne has trained in the McKenzie method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, which aims to relieve pain and restore function that may not be attainable through standard rehabilitation protocols. This method is ideally suited to the treatment of pinched nerves, longstanding pain and pain that started without a clear cause.

Katherine has extensive experience in assisting adults suffering with neurological conditions, including dizziness, head injuries, strokes, and Parkinson’s. Katherine has also started her training in the McKenzie method, which is of particular value in assisting patients remotely when in isolation or quarantine.
